brichan As visual and beautiful as it is soul-shakingly visceral! Love everything about it! I just let it all play and zoned out to it.
Track 5 feels like what I imagine the first core of lavos would sound like. 🖤🖤🖤

Miria It's legitimately fantastic dark ambient with a palpable storyline. So rare. So good. So very good.

about

"Mind and soul taken by slick-sweet tongues of that which was always without... and within."

Alien and primal soundscapes swirl around the listener in eight evocative, unconventional compositions which take inspiration from the fictional works of H.P. Lovecraft, Junji Ito, and ancient mythology. Dessicant's debut offering aims to tell a story of cosmic horror unbound from the notion of cultural borders or language,

Let the sounds capture your imagination, and the experience become your own mythological fever dream. Can you hear her calling?~

The First Altars is Mother Dessicant's first album: An effort undertaken entirely in one month from conception to final execution. Each track was crafted on analog synthesizers in single takes with no samples utilized (and with a computer used only for the bare minimum recording duties.) The intent is to inspire other creators through this art, and to encourage the Anthro/Furry music scene to move in unexplored directions. Let it guide your meditation, or usher you to sleep with promises of a world beyond.
